This single-story office building on Plano Parkway will feature 30,000 square feet of build to suit office space for Sanyo, the Japanese major electronics company. The new office space will serve as a regional sales and design office for the company. The build to suit office marks the beginning of several office construction projects at Austin Ranch, Billingsley Company’s 1,700-acre master-planned development.

Sanyo left Hall Office park in search for more efficient space, a place where they could galvanize their corporate image, and recruit top talent in the region. Some of the key selling points that sold them on Austin Ranch were the great nearby amenities of Grandscape, Nebraska Furniture Mart, and quick access via the SH 121 corridor. “Austin Ranch was a wonderful location for us to build,” said Andy Sirjord, Sanyo Vice President of Operations and Large Format Sales. “We will be right across the street from Grandscape, plus we’re seconds from SH 121 so our employees have an easy commute.”

Sanyo’s new location will be the first of three office buildings on a site that Billingsley Company has named Old Oak Pond. The site is on Plano Parkway near the terminus of future Headquarters Road. “With the excitement of Grandscape and Nebraska Furniture Mart next door, there has been a burst of activity at the Offices of Austin Ranch. We are seeing a large increase in build to suit activity from companies looking to relocate or increase the visibility of their brand,” said Lucy Billingsley, Partner. “We have loved the scenic view from this site for years and can’t wait to share it with Sanyo!”
