The Sound Opens Soon at Cypress Waters

Developer Billingsley Co. is opening the doors of a new restaurant and retail village in its Cypress Waters project northwest of Dallas.

Called The Sound, the more than 20,000-square-foot lakeside village is surrounded by new office and apartment construction.

The collection of buildings faces a 1-acre park and overlooks North Lake.

“The Sound retail is at the finish line,” Billingsley vice president Carey Morgan said. “We are also putting the finishing touches on some great event spaces and we will have a big kick-off event with some regularly scheduled event programming each week starting in May.”

An amphitheater and event lawn are next to the new retail buildings.

Tenants so far at the Sound retail center include Eno’s Pizza, Ascension Coffee, Rodeo Goat, Flying Fish, Flying Saucer & Landon Winery.

Dallas’ Shop Cos. is marketing the project, which has three remaining spaces.

The Sound retail village is across the street from telecom firm Nokia’s new North Texas regional office. Restaurant firm Brinker International and jeweler Signet/Zale have large office campuses in the same area.

Cypress Waters — located at LBJ Freeway and Belt Line Road — is one of North Texas’ most successful real estate developments.

The 1,000-acre project started construction more than 10 years ago and now has more than 14,000 workers for companies including CoreLogic, 7-Eleven, Nationstar Mortgage, Toyota Industries Commercial Finance, BT America and Constellation Brands.
