1990 Wittington — Monitronics Headquarters
The first office user for Billingsley Company’s Mercer Business Park is Monitronics International, Inc. Billingsley Company is building a 165,000 square foot corporate campus for the national home security and alarm technology company. Monitronics International is the second largest residential security provider in the nation. With their rapid growth, Monitronics sought a facility that provided their team a modern workplace environment. After a broad search in the Metroplex, selecting Mercer Business Park and staying in the City of Farmers Branch was the best option.
The three-story office building features 165,000 square feet of build to suit office space. Scheduled to be complete by the summer of 2015, the new headquarters will provide a stunning lakeside setting, excellent highway visibility, and the ability for the company to expand for future growth.
“What a great company to help kick off development at Mercer Business Park,” said Marijke Lantz, Senior Vice President of Investments and Build to Suit. She added, “We are thrilled to have Monitronics as our first office tenant. Rick Hughes and Dean Collins of Cushman & Wakefield were the real dealmakers here. Their focus on the finish line made this project happen. Mercer Business Park’s office zone is quickly taking shape. We are in talks with several local and regional companies that are interested in joining Monitronics at the development.”
“Positioning the campus along the shore of a 57-acre lake plus connectivity to the City’s hike and bike trails were great selling points for this location,” said Lucy Billingsley, Partner. “The visibility that the building will get from LBJ freeway is also a great feature that all of our tenants will enjoy.”
